About ELT files
The .ELT file format primarily functions as either a proprietary CAD/CAM part file for Euklid CAD/CAM or a temperature data logger file generated by ElitechLog hardware. Secondary uses include encrypted game data for Escape from Tarkov, CAD/CAM tool designs for Cimatron E, and leveling data for Topcon MAGNET Field. These files suffer from severe vendor lock-in. A .ELT CAD file requires an active license of Euklid or Cimatron to view or edit, making it useless for clients or manufacturers who rely on standard software like AutoCAD or SolidWorks. Similarly, Elitech data logger files cannot be read by standard spreadsheet tools without first processing them through Elitech's specific software. This creates friction when sharing temperature records for compliance or supply chain audits. Users typically need to convert .ELT files to open standards. For CAD variants, exporting to STEP, IGES, or DXF is essential for cross-platform manufacturing. For temperature logs, conversion to CSV, XLSX, or PDF is required for data analysis and reporting. Converting .ELT files directly is notoriously difficult because the format is closed and highly specialized. Euklid CAD files use a ZIP-based internal structure, while Elitech logs rely on .NET architectures. Cimatron E files use a Microsoft Compound structure, and game data variants are actively encrypted. Standard online converters fail to parse these disparate structures. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data. We inspect the file and show text or internal content. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format - like extracting XML or structural data from the ZIP wrapper - viewing or conversion may still be possible.
