About DPA files

The .DPA file extension most commonly represents an HMI Project File created by Delta Electronics DOPSoft. These files store user interface screens, button layouts, and automation logic for industrial touch panels used in modern manufacturing. Alternatively, a .DPA file can function as a Design Presentation Archive or digital animation file generated by the discontinued vector editor Serif DrawPlus, or as a compiled DataPower Archive map inside IBM WebSphere Transformation Extender. The core disadvantage of .DPA files is their extreme lack of portability. They are heavily proprietary and generally restricted to specific, Windows-only engineering or legacy design software. Sharing a raw .DPA file with a client or manager usually results in an error because standard web browsers and operating systems cannot read them.
