The .DC2 extension usually indicates one of two very different file types, each with its own set of frustrations. Most commonly, it is a Romanian Tax Declaration file associated with the ANAF (National Agency for Fiscal Administration) and processed by the DUKIntegrator software. These files are typically XML-based data structures used for fiscal validation. The problem users face is that a .DC2 file is effectively a "black box" of data - you cannot simply double-click to read it like a Word doc. It requires the specific Java-based DUKIntegrator environment to be viewed or validated, making it difficult to archive or share with stakeholders who just want to see the numbers.
