About CSB files
The .CSB file format is primarily a Cocos Studio Binary file used in game development to store compiled 2D and 3D UI scenes for the Cocos2d-x engine. Alternatively, it serves as a CRIWARE Sound Bank in game audio middleware (ADX2) or as specialized encrypted documents for government applications, Spanish banking statements (AEB Norma 43), and enterprise content management systems. These are highly proprietary, closed-format binary files. They cannot be opened by standard image, text, or audio editors. For Cocos files, the binary nature makes it impossible to edit manually; it requires Cocos Creator to modify or export the source data. CRIWARE sound banks require specialized unpacking tools like CRI Atom Craft to access the underlying audio. Standard online converters fail to process .CSB files because they lack the proprietary engines needed to decode the binary structures. Converting a Cocos .CSB to readable JSON requires specialized decompilation scripts. Converting sound banks to MP3 or WAV requires audio extraction utilities. This is a closed, proprietary format. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your CSB file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The CSB Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our CSB converter.
