The .CL file extension is heavily overloaded and used for several completely different purposes. Most commonly, it is an OpenCL Compute Kernel Source file. These files contain code written in a C-like programming language, managed by the Khronos Group, designed to run parallel processing tasks on heterogeneous platforms like GPUs, CPUs, and DSPs.
