About CFW files

The .CFW extension represents a collision of three distinct industrial formats, each requiring specific handling.

  1. Teltonika Firmware (21%): System update files for GPS trackers (like FMB series) and routers. These are binary blobs locked to the hardware; you cannot "open" them in a text editor. They are designed to be uploaded via the Teltonika Configurator or FOTA WEB.
  2. WAGO smartSCRIPT (20%): A specialized vector/layout file used to design labels for terminal blocks and control cabinets. Users often struggle to view these without the proprietary smartSCRIPT software. The common difficulty is sharing these designs with colleagues who don't have the software installed.
  3. Schlumberger Fracpro (16%): A data container for hydraulic fracturing (fracking) simulation. Engineers frequently need to extract this simulation data into XLSX (Excel) or CSV for analysis, but the raw .CFW file is not natively readable by Office apps.
