About CDN files

A .CDN file is most frequently an aeronautical navigation data file generated by Jeppesen (a Boeing company). These files contain critical flight procedure data, including terminal charts, airport diagrams, and airway manuals, designed for use in Electronic Flight Bags (EFBs) like Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro or proprietary avionics systems.

The Problem: Users often attempt to open these files hoping to see a PDF-style map or chart. However, .cdn files are not static images; they are specialized, often encrypted, database components meant to be interpreted by flight hardware or specific charting software. They are strictly proprietary, tied to expensive subscriptions, and updated every 28 days (AIRAC cycle). You cannot simply open them in Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat.

The Solution:

Convert.Guru analyzes your CDN file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted 00000000, ZIP, MP4, PNG, M3U8, IPT, ZDL, ZDP, AVERY, CIA and PKR files.

The CDN Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our CDN converter.
