About CCR files

A .ccr file serves two distinct, high-friction purposes that often confuse users. Most commonly, it is an Online Classroom Course Recording generated by ClassIn. These files are actually compressed archives (similar to ZIP) containing video and audio data from a virtual lesson. Users frequently struggle with these because they cannot be played directly in standard media players like VLC or Windows Media Player without the original ClassIn software.

Alternatively, in the healthcare sector, a .ccr file represents a Continuity of Care Record. Based on the XML standard meant to ensure data portability between different Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. While machine-readable, these text-based files are difficult for patients or doctors to read without specialized software.

For ClassIn files, the practical goal is usually video playback; converting or extracting contents to MP4 or MKV is the best workflow. For health records, converting the raw XML data to PDF or HTML is essential for archiving, printing, and human readability. Note: If your file is related to Frilo structural analysis software, it is a license configuration file and should not be converted or edited.

Convert.Guru analyzes your CCR file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted PDF, RCC, CDR, OHSD and SOR files.

The CCR Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our CCR converter.
