About CCN files
CCN files are proprietary, compressed multimedia application files created by Clickteam development software, specifically older versions like Multimedia Fusion and Click & Create, as well as the modern Clickteam Fusion 2.5. These files typically function as "sub-applications" or compiled game levels that are loaded by a main executable or the legacy Vitalize! web player.
Because .CCN files are compiled binaries containing game logic, sprite graphics, and audio assets, they are not designed to be opened by standard media players or text editors. A major downside for users is that they cannot simply be "played" without the parent application or the specific runtime environment (often requiring cncs232.dll). Furthermore, they are essentially "locked" containers; you cannot easily edit the code inside without the original source MFA file. For preservation or editing, the ideal workflow involves opening the project in Clickteam Fusion and exporting it to a modern standalone EXE, HTML5 web app, or extracting assets to standard formats like PNG and WAV.
Convert.Guru analyzes your CCN file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert CCN file to JS, TS, PY, JAVA, CPP, C, CS, PHP, RB, GO, RS or SWIFT, you can use Clickteam Fusion or similar software from the "Compressed Multimedia Application" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert SH, PY, KT, PS1, SWIFT, LUA, PL, JAVA, SCALA, JS, VBS or TS files to CCN, try Clickteam Fusion or another comparable tool in the "Compressed Multimedia Application" category.
The CCN Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our CCN converter.
