The .BRX file is primarily a Bluebeam Revu Stamp file. Professionals use it in Bluebeam Revu to store custom digital stamps for PDF markup and architectural reviews. Secondary uses for the .BRX extension include Android firmware update files, KROS Birka print templates, and BricsCAD application plugins.
The main disadvantage of the .BRX stamp format is its proprietary lock-in. It requires an expensive subscription to Bluebeam software to open natively. The format is completely opaque to standard operating systems and web browsers. If you share a .BRX file with clients who do not use Bluebeam, they cannot view or apply the stamp.
