The .BPP file format is highly fragmented, serving entirely different purposes depending on the software that created it. Most commonly, it is a proprietary CNC panel machining program containing routing and drilling instructions for machines manufactured by the Biesse Group. In the mobile audio space, it acts as an encrypted music download for the Boomplay Music streaming app. In enterprise environments, it functions as an SAP Payment Medium Format used by SAP SE for handling banking payment plans. Other less common uses include Unity Pro zipped project files and XML-based book projects for Blurb BookWright.
The main disadvantage of the .BPP extension is its extreme ambiguity and proprietary nature.
