The .BPK file extension is shared by multiple highly specific, proprietary formats. Primarily, it functions as a Basketball Scorebook Data file used by Stat Crew Software to log game statistics, player performance, and play-by-play records. It is also used by the BlueStacks App Player as an Android app data backup or migration file, which relies on standard GZIP compression under the hood. Finally, Nero software uses .BPK for SecurDisc Public Key files to handle encrypted optical disc access.
Because these formats serve drastically different purposes, dealing with a .BPK file is often frustrating.
