About BMT files

A .BMT file is primarily used either as a radiometric thermal image from FLIR Systems cameras or as a satellite receiver menu graphic for ALI Corp set-top boxes. In FLIR cameras, the file stores absolute temperature measurements for every pixel alongside visual data. In set-top boxes, it is usually a modified JFIF or JPEG image wrapped with a custom header to display menus on televisions.

To view and analyze FLIR radiometric data, users are forced to install expensive, proprietary software like FLIR Thermal Studio. Files extracted from satellite receivers are not recognized by standard operating systems at all. This makes the .BMT format highly restrictive, frustrating to share, and entirely unsupported by web browsers or standard mobile devices.

To share these images or include them in reports, conversion is mandatory. For web publication and emailing, convert the file to JPG or PNG. For professional archiving, convert to PDF. Drop your file here to view and convert it securely right in your browser. Be aware that converting a FLIR .BMT file to standard image formats will permanently strip the raw radiometric temperature data, leaving only the colorized visual representation.

Convert.Guru analyzes your BMT file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted BTM, JPG, BMP, JPEG, PNG, INDD, BIN, ZIP, MP4, ACK, CDW, JSP and ECW files.
