About B5T files

The .B5T file format is a disc image descriptor created by BlindWrite version 5. It is primarily used to store metadata, track layouts, and specialized subchannel data required to clone CDs or DVDs with exact 1:1 precision.

While developed by VSO Software, the files are most commonly mounted using virtual drive emulators like DAEMON Tools or Alcohol 120%.

The biggest disadvantage of the .B5T format is that it is heavily outdated, completely proprietary, and poorly supported by modern operating systems. Furthermore, a .B5T file is typically just a tiny descriptor (similar to a CUE file) and contains absolutely no actual file data. It must be paired with a much larger B5I file that holds the binary data. If you have lost the accompanying B5I file, the .B5T is completely useless.

If you have both files, the best conversion target is the universal ISO format, though you will lose the specific DRM-bypassing subchannel data stored in the original format.

Because this is a closed, proprietary format designed specifically to circumvent vintage copy protection schemes, standard online converters universally fail to process it. Standard tools do not know how to parse the split-file architecture.

Convert.Guru analyzes your B5T file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted BWI, BWT and BWA files.
