Convert AZF to another file type
To convert AZF archives to another format, you need WinAce or other Compressed software.
Convert a file to AZF
To convert other file formats to the "Encrypted Legacy Archive" file type, you need software like WinAce or a similar tool.
About AZF files
The .AZF file is primarily a compressed or encrypted archive associated with Apacer ACE software and the legacy WinAce archiver. In niche industrial engineering settings, it also functions as a proprietary project drawing file generated by WinDelta PMS, or occasionally as a secure document managed by AirZip FileSECURE.
These files present severe operational disadvantages. For archives, the .AZF format relies on an obsolete proprietary compression algorithm. The core library required to unpack these files contains an unpatched, critical security vulnerability. Consequently, most modern archiving utilities have entirely dropped support for ACE-based formats. For WinDelta PMS drawings, the format is entirely closed, meaning clients without a paid license cannot view the designs.
To ensure your data remains accessible, archive files should be extracted and repacked into open standards like ZIP or 7Z. Project drawings must be exported to PDF or DXF to maintain vector geometry for universal sharing.
Because .AZF files are either closed-source CAD drawings or encrypted legacy archives, standard online converters fail to process them. Often, only the original software can properly read, decrypt, or export the data safely. However, you can still use our platform to analyze the structure. Just drag and drop your file to identify the format, view it, and convert it when possible. If our analysis detects unencrypted internal text or embedded objects, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your AZF file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
Users also converted AZW3, AZS, ITG and PJF files.
FAQ
If you want to convert AZF file to BASE64, HEX, BIN, ENC, CRYPT, AES, DES, RSA, PGP, GPG, ASC or KEY, you can use WinAce or similar software from the "Compressed Archive Storage" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert CER, BIN, PEM, DER, KEY, P7S, PFX, ENC, P12, BASE64, P7B or HEX files to AZF, try WinAce or another comparable tool in the "Compressed Archive Storage" category.
The AZF Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our AZF converter.
