Extract text from AUT files

The .AUT extension is a classic example of a filename collision, utilized by three distinct industries with incompatible formats. Most commonly, it represents a Siemens License Transfer File created by the Siemens Automation License Manager. These are proprietary, encrypted containers used to move industrial software licenses between machines offline. Warning: Attempting to open or "convert" these files in a text editor often corrupts the binary structure, rendering the license invalid.
Alternatively, in the scripting world, .AUT refers to a legacy AutoIt v2 Script. Unlike the modern AU3 format, these older files are simple plain text configuration scripts used for automating Windows GUI tasks. Users frequently need to convert these legacy scripts to TXT to view the source code or upgrade them to valid AU3 files for modern execution. Finally, within engineering, .AUT can be a reinforcement steel schedule generated by Allplan.
