About ACX files

The .ACX file extension primarily represents an Accounting Data Backup generated by AutoCount Accounting, a popular business management suite. These files are used to safely transport, store, and restore entire company ledgers, master data, and point-of-sale configurations. Secondary uses for the .ACX format include industrial hardware macros created by the Siemens SINAMICS DriveEditor, and compressed game data archives for titles like Kantai Collection or Armored Core.

Typically, opening or converting these files requires their native environments. For instance, AutoCount users must import the file directly into the application's database manager, while Siemens technicians must load the macro onto a CompactFlash card to run on industrial drives. This creates a severe proprietary lock-in. The main disadvantage of the .ACX format is its opacity - without an active software license or specialized hardware, the file appears completely useless. It is not supported by standard web browsers, making historical data auditing or simple text extraction a massive headache.

Users often need to convert an .ACX file to ZIP to manually inspect the internal data structure, or to CSV and PDF for universal, readable reporting. Extracting it as a ZIP allows you to unpack the raw database elements, though the original software relationships might be lost. Converting accounting records to CSV ensures the raw data becomes readable in Microsoft Excel.

Because an .ACX file is a closed, proprietary container, standard online converters fail to process it. Usually, only the original software can properly parse the underlying databases or proprietary hardware instructions hidden inside. Our system can detect the underlying ZIP or GZIP compression structure of an .ACX file, allowing you to bypass software limitations and extract the embedded files instantly.

Convert.Guru analyzes your ACX file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted AAX, TXT, MP3, TZB, A and XBIN files.
