About 3DC files
The .3DC file extension is heavily fragmented and used by dozens of different applications to store 3D models, game assets, and geospatial data. The most common uses include 3D closet layouts created in ClosetMaid, character models for PC games like Granado Espada, and 3D map landmarks for NNG iGO Navigation. Depending on the origin, you might need specific software like SENER FORAN or Amabilis 3DCrafter to open the file natively. Because .3DC is an overloaded extension, the main challenge is simply identifying what kind of data the file holds. Most .3DC files are proprietary, closed formats. They cannot be opened by standard 3D viewers, and attempting to share them with clients or colleagues usually results in errors. If your .3DC is a standard 3D model, your best conversion targets are OBJ, STL, or FBX. If the file is actually a renamed ZIP archive, you can extract it to view the contents. This file format is notoriously difficult to open or convert because there is no single standard for it; often only the original software can properly read or export the data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your 3DC file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
Users also converted CDW, 3DX, A3D and CSFDB files.

The 3DC Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our 3DC converter.
