The .3D2 file extension represents a Stereo CAD-3D 2.0 Image File, a legacy 3D graphics format created for the Atari ST computer system in the late 1980s. These files store early 3D wireframe and solid polygon models generated by the CAD-3D 2.0 software, which was published by Antic Software. They were primarily used by digital artists and developers experimenting with early 3D modeling and animation.
Modern users face massive disadvantages when encountering .3D2 files. It is an extremely obsolete, proprietary binary format. It is completely unsupported by modern 3D modeling suites like Blender or Autodesk Maya.
