Convert a file to ZMP
To convert other file formats to the "Quality Measurement Project" file type, you need software like Zeiss PiWeb or a similar tool.
About ZMP files
The .ZMP file extension is heavily fragmented and used by several entirely unrelated software ecosystems. Most commonly, it acts as a measurement data project file for Zeiss PiWeb, an enterprise-grade quality data management platform. In other contexts, it serves as an LNTsoft TestPro exam file, a quarantined email attachment neutralized by ZoneAlarm Mailsafe, a 3D surface map for Zemetrics, or even an executable plugin for Autodesk 3ds Max or ZBrush.
This fragmentation creates massive compatibility issues. If you receive a .ZMP file, standard office software cannot open it. The format is proprietary, highly dependent on specialized host software, and inherently unsuitable for web browsers. Sharing a .ZMP file with colleagues who lack a costly Zeiss license or the LNTsoft environment is completely ineffective. Furthermore, if the file originated from a ZoneAlarm quarantine, attempting to force it open can expose your system to malicious payloads.
Standard online converters routinely fail to process these files because they cannot parse closed, proprietary data structures or differentiate between the different types of .ZMP files. Because the Zeiss PiWeb variant is internally built as a ZIP archive, our analysis tools may be able to safely inspect the file, extract the underlying XML data, and salvage usable assets without requiring expensive software installations.
Convert.Guru analyzes your ZMP file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert ZMP file to INI, CFG, CONF, CONFIG, JSON, XML, YAML, YML, TOML, ENV, PROPERTIES or RC, you can use Zeiss PiWeb or similar software from the "Measurement Data Project Archive" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert ZSHRC, CONF, RCFILE, GITCONFIG, RC, PLIST, BASHRC, CONFIG, PROFILE, INI, PREFS or CFG files to ZMP, try Zeiss PiWeb or another comparable tool in the "Measurement Data Project Archive" category.
The ZMP Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our ZMP converter.
