A .YSP file is predominantly a downloaded YouTube video generated by YTD Video Downloader. While it appears as a unique format, it is typically just an MP4 video container with a modified file extension. This is a common tactic used by software vendors to lock users into their proprietary media players. Because of this artificial limitation, standard video editors, web browsers, and media software will often fail to open .YSP files directly. Less commonly, .YSP files function as system-level Samsung Security Region files, Yamaha Sound Patches, or BYOB Sprite files, which are strictly proprietary and difficult to process outside their native environments.
