Convert a file to XPG
To convert other file formats to the "Project Export File" file type, you need software like AutoPlay Media Studio or a similar tool.
About XPG files
The .XPG file format is an AutoPlay Media Studio Exported Page. Developers use it to save and transfer individual page layouts, including buttons, images, and embedded Lua scripts, between different projects. You can open and edit these files using AutoPlay Media Studio by Indigo Rose.
Users often need to convert or inspect these files because they are heavily restricted. Without the Windows-only AutoPlay Media Studio software, you cannot view the visual design. Furthermore, an .XPG file does not contain the actual images, videos, or audio files; it only contains reference paths to local assets. This makes sharing the standalone file highly ineffective for visual previews.
Directly converting an .XPG file to a standard web format like HTML or PDF is impossible for standard online converters. The file relies on a proprietary rendering engine. The most practical conversion targets are plain text formats like TXT, XML, or JSON to recover the underlying layout parameters, coordinates, and custom Lua scripts.
This file format is difficult to open or convert because only the original software can properly compile and read the visual data. Standard tools will fail because the format is closed. If our analysis detects supported underlying structured data, you can at least extract your valuable code and text.
Convert.Guru analyzes your XPG file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert XPG file to CSV, JSON, XML, YAML, YML, TOML, INI, CFG, CONF, DAT, DB or SQL, you can use AutoPlay Media Studio or similar software from the "Interactive Application Page Layout" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert DBF, XML, SQLITE, XLSX, SQL, TSV, ACCDB, YAML, MDB, CSV, ODS or JSON files to XPG, try AutoPlay Media Studio or another comparable tool in the "Interactive Application Page Layout" category.
The XPG Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our XPG converter.
