About VIZ files
The .VIZ file extension is predominantly an Avee Music Player visualizer template. It stores configuration data, visual parameters, and background images used to react to audio playback. The main disadvantage of this format is its proprietary nature: it is not an actual video file. It contains no media streams and cannot be played in web browsers or standard media players like VLC. To get a shareable video, users must render the .VIZ template directly inside the Avee Music Player mobile app to create an MP4 file. Standard online converters fail to process this file because it is a proprietary package of settings rather than encoded media. Interestingly, an Avee .VIZ file is technically a standard ZIP archive. By renaming the extension to ZIP, users can extract embedded JPG or PNG background images. Another notable use for the .VIZ extension is as a graph visualization source file for Graphviz, containing plain text instructions for drawing mathematical networks which compile to SVG or PNG. Additionally, it is used by CiteSpace for scientific literature network layouts. Because these formats are specialized, rendering relies heavily on the original software.
