The .VID file extension identifies two distinct file types that require different conversion approaches. Most commonly (63%), it is a Generic Video File, often a standard MP4 or AVI container that has been renamed or saved with a generic extension by older camcorders, security systems, or Android devices. These are not playable video files; they are small data files (often ~4KB) containing game engine replay instructions (camera angles, character positions, weather).
