About VGC files
A .vgc file is a ViziGen Code Generation Template. It stores the specific rules, macros, and logic used to automate the creation of software source code. These files are designed to be opened and executed by the ViziGen software environment. Users often need to convert these files because the format is highly restrictive. The .VGC format creates vendor lock-in, requires dedicated software to run, and lacks native viewing support in modern web browsers or standard IDEs. The best conversion targets are standard plain text (TXT), XML, or HTML. Converting to these text-based formats allows developers to review the template logic, commit it to version control, or share it with team members, although the executable code-generation abilities will be lost.
