To convert other file formats to the "Machine Learning Metrics" file type, you need software like TensorBoard or a similar tool.

About V2 files

A .v2 file usually functions as a TensorFlow event log created by Google TensorFlow. TensorBoard uses these files to visualize machine learning training metrics, such as loss and accuracy over time. Alternatively, it can be a VPN configuration file for the E-V2ray client, an earthquake accelerogram data file used by SeismoSoft, or a save game file from Victoria II. Users frequently need to convert .v2 files because they are incredibly difficult to process outside their native environments. TensorFlow logs are serialized binary files written in Protocol Buffers (Protobuf), meaning they look like gibberish in standard text editors. They are proprietary and lack native support in web browsers or standard office software. This creates a severe limitation when you need to share training metrics with stakeholders who do not have Python or TensorBoard installed. The best target formats for these logs are CSV or JSON. Converting to CSV allows data scientists to analyze metrics in Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet tools. However, be aware that you will lose the interactive visualization capabilities of TensorBoard. For V2Ray configurations, converting to plain TXT or JSON makes editing routing rules much easier. Because .v2 files are typically closed, proprietary, or serialized binary data, standard online converters usually fail to process them. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data. Our tool will inspect the file and show text or internal content. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your V2 file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted V1 and MHT files.

The V2 Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our V2 converter.
