However, you might also be dealing with a Kentec Syncro fire panel configuration file. These contain critical safety logic for fire alarm systems and are strictly proprietary to Kentec Electronics. Attempting to edit these in a text editor can corrupt the checksums required for safety compliance. Other common variants include TextPad syntax definition files (which are simple plain text and can be converted to TXT easily), Synapse Audio Orion instrument presets (unlikely to convert to standard audio), or SimSynth documents. Because of this ambiguity, specialized inspection is required before conversion. For traffic data, the best target is usually PDF for visual reporting or XML for data interoperability.
