The .ST2 file extension is primarily associated with HY-TEK Meet Manager, the industry-standard software for managing swimming competitions. These files contain Time Standards (qualifying times) used to determine if an athlete is eligible for specific meets (e.g., "State Championships" or "Junior Olympics").

The Problem:
For coaches, parents, and swimmers, .ST2 files are a significant source of friction because they are proprietary databases designed solely for import into Meet Manager. You cannot simply double-click to open them in Microsoft Excel or a web browser. For Viewing/Printing: The most common goal is to read the standards. Since direct conversion is difficult without the host software, the best workaround is to open the file in a robust text editor like Notepad++. While the formatting may be raw, the time values are often visible.
For Excel: If the file is text-based (CSV-like), you can change the extension to CSV or TXT and import it into Microsoft Excel using the "Text Import Wizard" to organize the data columns.
For Archiving: If you have access to Meet Manager, the only reliable way to convert an .ST2 file is to import it and then run a "Standards Report," exporting the final output as a PDF or HTML file for easy distribution.
