The .SRE file extension is most commonly associated with Spectrophotometer data files generated by Thermo Scientific VISIONpro software. These files store raw UV-Vis spectroscopy data, capturing light absorption measurements used in chemical analysis. Alternatively, .SRE files can function as Speech recognition compiled grammar used by the Nuance Speech Recognition Engine, Motorola S-record data files containing ASCII hex data for microcontrollers (Wikipedia), or 3D objects for the game Live for Speed and SketchUp.
