About SPLIT0 files
A .split0 file is the first sequential fragment of a split game asset bundle created by the Unity game engine. Game developers use this format to break massive asset archives into smaller chunks. This is necessary to bypass strict file size limitations imposed by platforms like the Google Play Store (for Android APK or OBB files) or older file systems like FAT32, which cannot handle individual files larger than 4GB. To access the contents, players and modders typically use specialized reverse-engineering software like AssetStudio or Unity Asset Bundle Extractor (UABE). However, the major disadvantage of a .split0 file is that it is an incomplete, raw binary fragment. It is entirely meaningless and unusable without its sibling files (.split1, .split2, etc.). It is also a closed, proprietary game data format that is heavily tied to the specific Unity engine version used by the developer. Users usually want to convert these files to extract the internal game assets, targeting standard formats like OBJ or FBX for 3D models, PNG for 2D textures, and WAV or MP3 for audio tracks.
