Convert a file to SPLIT0
To convert other file formats to the "Split Asset Archive" file type, you need software like Unity or a similar tool.
About SPLIT0 files
A .split0 file is a fragmented chunk of a larger game archive, primarily generated by the Unity game engine for Android titles. These files exist because Google Play and other mobile platforms impose strict file size limits (often 100MB) on application installers (.APK), forcing developers to slice large asset libraries (containing textures, models, and audio) into smaller pieces named .split0, .split1, .split2, etc.
For gamers and modders, a single .split0 file is practically useless on its own. It is an incomplete binary segment that standard extraction software like WinRAR or 7-Zip cannot open directly because the file header or footer is often missing or located in a different split part. To access the content - such as 3D models or soundtracks - you must first merge all split parts back into a single continuous file (typically a .assets or .obb file). Once merged, specialized tools like UABE (Unity Assets Bundle Extractor) or AssetStudio are required to convert the proprietary game data into usable formats like PNG for images, OBJ for models, or WAV for audio.
Convert.Guru analyzes your SPLIT0 file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert SPLIT0 file to ZIP, RAR, 7Z, TAR, GZ, BZ2, XZ, LZMA, CAB, ACE, ARJ or LHA, you can use Unity or similar software from the "Split Game Asset Storage" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert XXE, 7Z, Z, PAK, LHA, DEB, UUE, TAR, LZH, ZIP, PKG or RAR files to SPLIT0, try Unity or another comparable tool in the "Split Game Asset Storage" category.
The SPLIT0 Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our SPLIT0 converter.
