About SEAM files
The .SEAM file extension primarily belongs to the JBoss Seam framework, a legacy Java EE application framework managed by Red Hat. Developers use it to map URLs to JavaServer Faces (JSF) pages, which are typically written in .XML or .XHTML formats. When regular users download a .SEAM file, it is almost always a server error. Real-world web servers often misconfigure their HTTP response headers. When you click a link to download a report, receipt, or invoice, the server generates a .PDF or .HTML document but accidentally forces the browser to save the file with the URL's .seam extension instead of the actual format. This creates immense frustration because your operating system does not know what application to use. Standard online converters fail completely here. They expect standard document formats and cannot process what is essentially a server-side routing convention or a misnamed file. Our engine bypasses the confusing .SEAM extension and analyzes the internal file signature. If your file is actually a misnamed .PDF, we will detect the Adobe PDF header. If it is raw JSF or .HTML code, we will extract and display the text safely.
