Extract text from game wrappers (RWG)
To convert RWG wrappers to another format, you need Reflexive Arcade or other Game software.
To convert other file formats to the "Game Installer/Wrapper" file type, you need software like Reflexive Arcade or a similar tool.
The .RWG extension serves two distinct, incompatible purposes, with the vast majority (86%) being Reflexive Wrapped Game files. These are actually standard Windows executables (EXE) encased in a proprietary "wrapper" developed by Reflexive Entertainment (later acquired by Amazon). Historically, this format was used by services like RealArcade to deliver casual games with a 60-minute "time-bomb" trial mechanism.
The Problem: Because the activation servers for these games were shut down years ago, users often find themselves with "dead" files that refuse to launch or get stuck at a "Buy Now" screen that cannot connect to the internet. Furthermore, because they are disguised executables, modern browsers and antivirus software often flag them as security threats or refuse to download them entirely. Users cannot simply "open" these in a media player; they must be unwrapped or executed.
The Solution: For game files, the primary goal is restoration. Users often rename the extension from .RWG to EXE to attempt a direct launch, or use specific "unpacker" tools to strip the DRM wrapper and convert the file into a standalone Application. Advanced users may also want to extract the internal game assets (music and textures) to standard formats like MP3 or PNG.
Secondary Format: The remaining files are likely Random Word Generator projects created by Gammadyne. These contain configuration rules, grammar definitions, and vocabulary constraints used to generate synthetic text. These are proprietary data files that cannot be read by Microsoft Word. The best conversion path here is exporting the generated results to TXT or CSV for use in spreadsheets or databases.
