Convert RTC to another file type
To convert RTC return files to another format, you need Hashcat or other Data software.
Convert a file to RTC
To convert other file formats to the "System Data File" file type, you need software like Hashcat or a similar tool.
About RTC files
The .RTC file extension serves several distinct and highly specialized purposes. Primarily, it is a Wages Protection System (WPS) return file used by the Emirates Wages Protection System to process employee salary payments. Secondly, it functions as a Rainbow table for cryptographic hash cracking in security software like Hashcat and RainbowCrack. Less commonly, it acts as an MDM (Mobile Device Management) removal file for the RTC Tool, or a legacy connection file for the discontinued Microsoft Live Meeting platform.
The current formats present massive disadvantages for everyday users. WPS return files are localized, proprietary text structures. If you open a WPS .RTC file in a standard spreadsheet tool, it frequently strips leading zeros from ID numbers, instantly corrupting the government payment file. Rainbow table files are even more difficult; they are massive binary files that often exceed hundreds of gigabytes and require a dedicated GPU to parse. They are completely useless without their specific decryption software. MDM removal files are likewise closed configurations tied entirely to proprietary unlocking tools.
Converting an .RTC file heavily depends on its origin. A WPS return file can theoretically be converted to CSV or TXT for auditing, but converting it back risks structural corruption. Rainbow tables cannot be converted into standard formats like PDF or DOCX due to their binary architecture.
Because .RTC is a closed, proprietary format, standard online converters fail to process it. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data. However, convert.guru provides a pragmatic workaround. Just drag and drop your file to identify the format, view it, and convert it when possible. Our platform can inspect the file and show text or internal content. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your RTC file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert RTC file to UTC, SAV, TMP, TEMP, CACHE, LOG, BAK, OLD, NEW, PART, DOWNLOAD or CRDOWNLOAD, you can use Hashcat or similar software from the "Wages Processing & Cryptography" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert DEVICE, CACHE, SOCK, SYMLINK, PID, MOUNT, FIFO, LOG, PIPE, TMP, JUNCTION or TEMP files to RTC, try Hashcat or another comparable tool in the "Wages Processing & Cryptography" category.
The RTC Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our RTC converter.
