Extract text from Qualtrics reports (QRF)

The .QRF file is primarily a Qualtrics Survey Report file used to store survey reporting structures, logic, and metadata.
These files are natively generated and managed by the Qualtrics XM platform, a major enterprise feedback and research management system. Older systems may also use the .QRF extension for QuickReport files in Delphi database applications.
The main disadvantage of the .QRF format is its closed, proprietary nature. It usually requires an active internet connection and an expensive enterprise subscription to open and render properly. While the internal structure is based on standard data types, opening a .QRF file outside of its native ecosystem reveals deeply nested JSON code. This makes it highly difficult for non-technical users to read or extract data. It is not supported by standard web browsers, and you cannot simply open it in spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel.
The best conversion targets for a .QRF file are JSON for developer parsing, CSV or XLSX for tabular data extraction, or PDF for static visual sharing. Be aware that converting a nested survey report into a flat format like CSV will result in the loss of complex branching logic, visual styling, and metadata.
This file format is difficult to open or convert because standard online converters fail to parse the proprietary Qualtrics schema. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the survey data.
