About PZS files

A .PZS file is a proprietary Photo Slideshow Project file created by software such as Ulead Photo Express or NCH PhotoStage Slideshow Creator. It stores timeline data, transition settings, text overlays, and file paths to images and audio tracks, functioning internally on the Microsoft Compound File Binary Format (CFBF). Users primarily interact with these files when saving work-in-progress multimedia presentations. The primary disadvantage of the .PZS format is that it is strictly a structural container. It does not contain actual video or image data, making it completely dependent on local file paths. If you move or delete the original photos, the .PZS project breaks. Furthermore, it requires a specific, often outdated, proprietary application to open and cannot be viewed in web browsers or standard media players. Users frequently attempt to convert .PZS files to universal video formats like MP4 or AVI for sharing.
