About PVHD files
PVHD (Parallels Virtual Hard Drive) is a file format used by virtualization software, such as Parallels Desktop, to store virtual machine data. PVHD files contain a complete copy of the virtual machines hard drive and can be used to move a virtual machine from one computer to another. PVHD files are similar to VHD (Virtual Hard Drive) files, but they are not compatible with each other.
The PVHD file format can be converted to other formats, such as VHDX, VMDK, and VDI, using software such as StarWind V2V Converter and VMware vCenter Converter. It is important to note that the conversion process can be difficult and time-consuming, and the results may not be perfect. Additionally, some of the data stored in the PVHD file may be lost during the conversion process.
For these reasons, it is often easier and more reliable to use a free and easy online website, such as Convert.Guru, to convert PVHD files. Convert.Guru allows users to quickly and easily convert PVHD files to other formats, such as VHDX, VMDK, and VDI, without losing any data.
The PVHD Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began more than 25 years ago in California, when Tom Simondi published the most comprehensive database of file formats on his website. Before that, Tom had worked on Space Shuttle development at the Air Force Systems Command’s Space Division in Los Angeles. He is known as one of the top programmers of the late 1980s.
When Microsoft integrated Tom’s Filext database into Windows XP, it became the leading platform for analyzing and processing file types and formats.
Today, we use the latest technologies to analyze, process, and convert one of the world's largest collections of file formats. We are committed to developing the best PVHD converter by continuously improving quality, usability, and reliability.
