Extract text from Proxifier profiles and mods (PPX)

To convert other file formats to the "Network Configuration Profile" file type, you need software like Proxifier or a similar tool.
The .PPX file extension is primarily used as an XML-based profile configuration file for Proxifier, a network tool that allows applications to operate through an HTTPS or SOCKS proxy. These files store routing rules, proxy server details, and application settings. Secondarily, .PPX files act as game modification packages for titles by Illusion, such as Artificial Academy 2. Rarely, it appears as a presentation file related to Microsoft PowerPoint or an image file for Capture One.
The main disadvantage of .PPX files is their extreme fragmentation. Because the extension is shared across network utilities, niche video games, and legacy photo editors, standard online converters often fail to process it. Furthermore, game mod .PPX archives are proprietary and require specific modding tools to unpack. Proxifier profiles are strictly formatted XML documents; altering them outside the software without syntax knowledge can easily break network routing rules.
For Proxifier files, the best conversion targets are plain text formats like XML or TXT to review the configuration rules safely. For game mods, extracting the contents to a standard ZIP archive or folder structure is the primary goal.
This file format is notoriously difficult to convert because the internal structure depends entirely on the originating software. Often, only the original application can properly read or export the data.
