The .PEPPER file format operates as a specialized software plugin for the legacy Euclid CAD application, originally built by Matra Datavision and later acquired by Dassault Systèmes. Under the hood, this format is functionally identical to a standard Windows executable (EXE) file. Users encounter severe disadvantages with this format today. It is proprietary, heavily outdated, and fundamentally restricted to the Windows operating system. Because it is compiled executable code, it cannot be opened by modern 3D modeling tools or standard web browsers. Furthermore, dealing with executable plugins presents significant security risks, as running them can execute malicious payloads on your machine. Conventional conversion is practically impossible because a compiled binary cannot simply be transformed into a document or vector image. The most logical target formats are EXE (by renaming) or archive formats like ZIP to extract embedded data.
