About PBX files

Most often, a .PBX file is an XML-based basketball coaching drill file used by Pasko Basket Coach. Alternatively, it acts as a compiled application extension for PowerBuilder, a scientific protocol file for Bio-Rad Bio-Plex Manager, or a GZIP-compressed simulation experiment file for Siemens Simcenter Prescan. Because multiple distinct software tools share this exact extension, dealing with .PBX files is notoriously frustrating. A basketball coach's text-based file has nothing in common with a developer's binary application extension. These proprietary formats lock your data inside specific, often expensive ecosystems. If you do not have an active corporate license for tools like Simcenter Prescan or PowerBuilder, you cannot natively open the files. Standard online converters fail completely because there is no universal standard for what a .PBX file actually contains. When targeting a conversion, your options depend entirely on the file's origin. Basketball drill files can sometimes be parsed into TXT or CSV for raw text extraction. Compressed Simcenter files can be decompressed into an archive folder. PowerBuilder files, however, are binary executables and cannot be converted into documents. This extreme fragmentation makes the .PBX format difficult to open or convert reliably. Emphasize that often only the original software can properly read or export the data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your PBX file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted PBIX, GALLERYITEM, PSF and VRM files.
