Convert PANDO to another file type
To convert PANDO packages to another format, you need Pando or other Web software.
Convert a file to PANDO
To convert other file formats to the "P2P File Sharing Metadata" file type, you need software like Pando or a similar tool.
About PANDO files
A .PANDO file is a peer-to-peer file-sharing metadata package created by the defunct Pando software. Much like a TORRENT file, a .PANDO file does not contain actual media, documents, or software. Instead, it contains the routing data, tracker information, and encryption keys required to download large files through the Pando network. Pando Networks operated this hybrid P2P service until shutting down its servers in 2013. Because the Pando servers are permanently offline, it is impossible to use these files to download their original content. Users often attempt to convert a .PANDO file to MP4 or PDF believing their data is trapped inside. This is a physical impossibility because the file size of a .PANDO package is typically only a few kilobytes, whereas the target data was often gigabytes. Your only realistic conversion targets are text-based formats like TXT, XML, or JSON. Converting to these formats allows you to read the raw metadata and see the names of the files you originally intended to download. Because this is a closed, proprietary format from a discontinued service, standard online converters fail to process it. Just drag and drop your file to convert.guru to identify the format, view its internal text, and convert it when possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your PANDO file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert PANDO file to TMP, TEMP, CACHE, LOG, BAK, OLD, NEW, PART, DOWNLOAD, CRDOWNLOAD, LOCK or PID, you can use Pando or similar software from the "P2P Metadata Routing" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert DEVICE, CACHE, SOCK, SYMLINK, PID, MOUNT, FIFO, LOG, PIPE, TMP, JUNCTION or TEMP files to PANDO, try Pando or another comparable tool in the "P2P Metadata Routing" category.
The PANDO Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our PANDO converter.
