About OVX files
The .OVX file extension is primarily used for two completely different purposes: On-screen Display (OSD) overlay files for RivaTuner Statistics Server (RTSS) and Organization Chart files used by Insperity OrgPlus or Insofta Organigram Viewer. RTSS uses .OVX to store custom overlay layouts that display hardware monitoring data during PC gameplay. Alternatively, OrgPlus uses .OVX to store hierarchical data for enterprise business org charts. Both formats present significant disadvantages for end users. They are highly proprietary, heavily restricted to their native applications, and entirely unsupported by standard web browsers. OrgPlus files often require an expensive enterprise software license just to view a basic chart, making it extremely difficult to share structural data with external stakeholders or colleagues. Users typically need to convert these charts into PDF, PNG, or CSV to guarantee universal readability, though advanced structural formatting may be lost during data extraction. Because .OVX is a closed, proprietary format, standard online converters consistently fail to process it. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data cleanly.
