About MOBIRISE files

A .mobirise file is a project configuration document created by the Mobirise offline website builder. It stores website layouts, block sequences, text content, theme configurations, and overall site settings in a structured text format.

This format presents distinct disadvantages for users. It is deeply proprietary and entirely dependent on the Mobirise desktop application. You cannot open a .mobirise file directly in a web browser to view your website. The file does not contain complete, standalone web code; instead, it is a JSON-formatted blueprint that tells the software how to compile the final page using its internal asset libraries. This creates a lock-in effect where your site design requires the original software to render or update.

To make a .mobirise file usable, you must convert it into standard web targets like HTML, CSS, and JS. Because it lacks the actual image assets and CSS frameworks, standard online converters fail to process it. Only the original software can properly export the complete data. Because the file is text-based under the hood, our tool can often expose the raw JSON data, allowing you to extract written text, links, and structural configurations without needing to install the heavy original application.

Convert.Guru analyzes your MOBIRISE file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
