About METRICLOG files

The .metriclog file format is a proprietary data log generated by Apple devices, primarily within iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS environments. It stores technical telemetry regarding wireless connections, such as Wi-Fi drops, baseband crashes, and Bluetooth handshakes. The main disadvantage of this format is its closed, proprietary nature. Average users cannot easily read the data without specialized internal parsing tools utilized by Apple engineers. Standard online converters fail to process these files because the internal byte structure is not publicly documented. Often, these files are bundled within massive 'sysdiagnose' archives and consume valuable storage space without providing any user-facing benefits. Because it is highly specific to Apple's diagnostic ecosystem, native software to view it outside of macOS is practically non-existent. However, you can still extract value from it.

Convert.Guru analyzes your METRICLOG file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted IPS, DLT, TRACEX and RCRM files.
