About M4T files

The .m4t file is a proprietary Sage 100 temporary data file. It is heavily used within the Sage 100 ERP ecosystem (formerly known as MAS 90 and MAS 200) to store intermediate transaction data, report generation tables, and system dictionaries. These files rely on the legacy ProvideX database architecture. Working with .m4t files presents severe limitations. It is a strictly proprietary format that cannot be natively opened by web browsers, standard text editors, or spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel. Attempting to read or modify these files without the proper ProvideX ODBC drivers often results in unreadable gibberish or, worse, irreversible corruption of your ERP database.
