About LYNX files

A .lynx file is an interactive lesson or presentation used primarily in educational and corporate environments. Teachers and presenters use these files to build multi-page lessons containing text, vector shapes, embedded images, videos, and interactive widgets. The primary software used to create and open these files is LYNX Whiteboard, developed by Clevertouch for their interactive hardware displays. The .lynx format is a highly proprietary, closed ecosystem format. Its major disadvantage is that it requires a specific application or cloud account to open and present properly. Standard web browsers, mobile devices, and popular office suites like Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides cannot read these files natively. This effectively locks your lesson content into the Clevertouch hardware ecosystem. Additionally, because users frequently embed high-resolution videos and unoptimized images directly into the slides, these files can easily exceed 100MB in size, making them difficult to email or share. If you need to distribute a lesson to students or colleagues who do not have the specific software installed, you must convert the file. The best conversion target is a PDF document for static viewing, which reliably preserves the visual layout of each slide but removes interactive elements. Exporting to a PPTX presentation is sometimes possible but often results in broken formatting. Because this file is a proprietary format, standard online converters fail to process its internal layout code. Often, only the original LYNX Whiteboard software can properly read or export the full interactive data. Internally, a .lynx file uses standard ZIP compression to bundle its XML data and media assets. If our analysis detects these supported underlying embedded formats, viewing or extracting your raw images and videos may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your LYNX file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted RTF, ENB, PRS, KEY and DPS files.
