Users often encounter these files when auditing legacy industrial archives or migrating test protocols to new systems. The friction here is significant: the files are often plain text but lack a recognized extension, meaning Windows refuses to open them, or they rely on deprecated, proprietary Loranger software to be interpreted correctly.
