Extract text from LGF files

To convert other file formats to the "Animation & Telemetry Logs" file type, you need software like LogoMotion / LogWorks or a similar tool.
If you have a .lgf file, you are likely dealing with one of two completely unrelated formats: an educational animation project or a technical data log.
1. LogoMotion Graphics File (32%): This is the most common variant, created by LogoMotion, a software tool often used in schools alongside the Imagine Logo environment to teach animation logic. These files store vector and raster animation data in a proprietary format.
Constraint: You cannot open these in standard media players like VLC or Windows Media Player. They are strictly project files, not playable video files. To share or upload them, you must use the original software to export them to AVI or GIF. If you lack the software, you are effectively locked out of the content.
2. Automotive & Device Logs (~35%): The second major category covers telemetry logs from automotive tuning software like Innovate Motorsports LogWorks or HP Tuners VCM Scanner. These files contain time-series performance data (RPM, AFR, temperature) recorded from a vehicle's ECU.
Constraint: These are often binary files optimized for their specific viewer. You cannot simply open them in Microsoft Excel to read the data. To analyze this data, you typically need to load the file into the specific scanner software and "Export Log" to CSV or XLSX.
