To convert other file formats to the "CAD Font or Feature Data" file type, you need software like LibreCAD or a similar tool.
About LFF files
The .LFF file extension primarily represents a LibreCAD Font file used to define vector-based typefaces in 2D CAD drawings. It can also function as a Lasergene Feature File for mapping genes and Regions of Interest (ROI) in genomics software, or a GZIP-compressed firmware update for Zumtobel LITECOM lighting systems.
These proprietary and application-specific formats are notoriously difficult to use outside their native environments. You cannot natively install a LibreCAD .LFF font into Windows or macOS like a standard TrueType font. Similarly, opening DNASTAR genomic features in a standard spreadsheet or web browser is impossible without proper parsing. Firmware files are completely inaccessible unless manually decompressed using specialized tools.
For graphic design, convert .LFF CAD fonts to standard TTF or OTF to ensure compatibility across applications. For data analysis, convert Lasergene files to CSV, TXT, BED, or GFF formats. For firmware inspection, extract the internal GZ archive. Just drop your file here to analyze and convert it securely right in your browser.

The LFF Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our LFF converter.
