Extract text from Kernel log files (KLG)

A .klg file is a system or application log file, most commonly generated by Sophos antivirus software as a Kernel Log, or by KOFIA financial applications. These files record background events, driver interactions, and error codes necessary for software troubleshooting.
You can generally open plain text .klg files with standard text editors like Notepad++ or Microsoft Notepad.
The main disadvantage of the .klg format is its obscure extension, which causes modern operating systems to fail to recognize it automatically. Double-clicking it usually prompts an annoying "How do you want to open this file?" dialog. Furthermore, some .klg files (such as those generated by stealth keyloggers or proprietary enterprise tools) are written in undocumented binary formats or are heavily obfuscated to prevent tampering. Standard online converters fail to process them because they do not understand the proprietary log structure.
The best conversion target is TXT for universal readability, or CSV if the log data is structured with delimiters. Converting to a standard text format ensures you do not need specialized software to review the logs in the future.
