Extract text from KFN files

To convert other file formats to the "Karaoke Archive Container" file type, you need software like KaraFun Player or a similar tool.
The .kfn file is a proprietary karaoke archive format developed by Recisio exclusively for the KaraFun Player. Unlike standard media files, a single .kfn acts as a complex container holding multiple synchronized elements: MP3 audio tracks (often backing vocals and lead vocals separately), timing data, lyrics, and background images or video loops.
While this "all-in-one" structure allows for advanced features like real-time vocal muting and tempo changes within the KaraFun software, it is a major drawback for users wanting interoperability. .kfn files cannot be opened by standard media players like VLC Media Player or Windows Media Player, nor can they be used on hardware karaoke machines. To use these files outside of the KaraFun ecosystem - such as playing them on a Smart TV, burning them to a DVD, or using them in professional DJ software like VirtualDJ - users must convert them.
For universal playback, the best target is MP4 (video), which renders the lyrics and background permanently together. For legacy karaoke hardware, converting to MP3 + CDG is the standard solution.
